Torch: International Fusion Cuisine

The place wasn’t full yet when we arrived. And maybe because it was a weekday! Usually this place is packed! You’ll need to have a reservation. Quite lucky though, that we were given a seat since there was an event. Our initial plan was to eat Ramen at Konbi ni but, well, we wanted to try something new! :D

I’m sure glad we did! Because this was another awesome dining experience!

It’s one of those rare times we ordered a drink (since we always go for water haha!) Iced Tea! Bottomless I might add. ;) HAHA For Php 75.00

For the appetizer, we had Margherita Pizza - “Classic margherita pizza topped with baked thick sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.” (Php 324.95)

The mozzarella cheese was sooooo gooood! It was generously distributed throughout the pizza! Tomatoes were fresh. The crust, super thin and crunchy just the way we like it! We weren’t able to finish it because of the main course. So we took just took it home :)

On to the meat! I ordered the Salpicao Medallion - “Medallions of certified Angus Beef, wrapped with bacon and served with garlic parsley rice and sauteed French beans.” (Php 479.95)

Served on a hot plate so the meat won’t go cold and greasy.

Perfectly cooked Medium Rare, just as how we requested it. With this dish, you’ll never go wrong! Tender, juicy and flavorful to the very last bite.
The serving was huge and heavy, too! Two big chunks of Angus beef. My boyfriend and I switched meals when I was done with the first one.

You can also request extra gravy for free! :)
Good thing my boyfriend ordered a light dish. We were actually planning to order two Salpicao Medallions. Phew! Hahaha!
He had Smoked JabaƱero Glazed Salmon - “Served with unagi citrus sauce, mango salsa and garlic parsley.” (Php 435.95)

I truly enjoyed eating the salmon. Lusciously soft and easy to nom! Hahaha! The taste is very balanced. What I loved about it most is the sauce - not strong, but not bland either.
This was a good experience! I kept on reading bad reviews about the service but I guess they improved!
Don’t forget about the 10% Service charge, though. All in all it’s worth the moolah!
